What this covers

Fikarnot is an operations platform used by event management companies ("organizations") and, on their behalf, that organization's staff, clients, and vendors. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. If you use Fikarnot through an organization, that organization controls the account and its data; contact them directly for requests specific to their workspace.

Data we collect

• Account & identity: name, email, phone, and sign-in details (Fikarnot uses Firebase Authentication for sign-in; we never see or store your password).
• Business data you or your organization enter: leads, quotations, contracts, events, tasks, invoices, and files uploaded to the platform — including, where applicable, your clients' and vendors' contact and payment details.
• Usage & diagnostic data: pages visited, actions taken, device/browser information, and error reports, collected to keep the service reliable and to understand how it's used. See "Cookies & analytics" below.
• Payment data: where an organization enables online payment collection, payment processing is handled by our payment partner directly — Fikarnot does not store full card or bank account numbers.

Why we process it

To operate, secure, and support the platform; to send transactional email (invitations, invoices, contract links, reminders); to fix bugs and improve performance; and to meet legal and tax obligations (for example, GST-compliant invoice records).

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the infrastructure and service providers that operate Fikarnot on our behalf, bound to use it solely to provide their service to us:

• Hosting & database — Render, Supabase
• Authentication — Google Firebase
• Email delivery — Resend
• Error monitoring & product analytics — Sentry, PostHog
• Payments, e-signature, and WhatsApp messaging — Razorpay, Digio, and Gupshup respectively, only for organizations that connect these

Some of these providers process data outside India. We otherwise disclose data only if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Fikarnot, our users, or the public.

Cookies & analytics

Fikarnot uses a session cookie to keep you signed in, and analytics cookies (PostHog) to understand feature usage and diagnose problems. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Data retention & deletion

We retain business records (invoices, signed agreements, audit logs) for as long as the workspace is active and as required by applicable tax and record-keeping law thereafter. To request deletion or anonymization of your personal account, or deletion of a workspace, contact us at the address below — this is currently handled as a direct request rather than a self-serve control, and other members' access and legally required financial records are preserved as described in our account deletion process.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and access is scoped so one organization can never read another's data. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

Fikarnot is a business tool and is not directed at, or intended for use by, children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service or applicable law changes. The date above shows the latest revision.
